About Us
The Lewis Rodeo Company was born from a story that started long before us. My great-grandfather, Horace Lewis, wasn’t just a cowboy—he was a businessman, a showman, and a connector. In the 1930s, he founded The Lewis Rodeo in Elkhart, Texas, not only to rope and ride, but to bring people together. His rodeo became a place where community, tradition, and entertainment lived side by side.
Though I never met Horace, his legacy has always inspired me. I grew up hearing stories about him and flipping through old photographs—my favorite being one of him standing next to Babe Ruth at the 1939 World’s Fair. Those images and memories lit a fire in me to continue his spirit of building something lasting. That vision eventually became Lewis Rodeo Company, a hat and apparel brand influenced by Horace’s rodeo and the values he carried with him: connection, tradition, and hard work.
What began as sketches of hats in my room has grown into a brand worn by country musicians, college athletes, and loyal customers across the country. Each hat we send out is more than just apparel—it’s a piece of family history and an invitation to join our community.
Like Horace, we believe success isn’t just about applause or profit—it’s about grit, patience, and staying true to your passion. Whether in an arena full of dirt and cheering crowds or behind the scenes with shipping labels and ballcaps, the mission is the same: to connect people, honor tradition, and inspire others to chase their own rodeo.
